Swachh Bharat campaign at special school
Swachh Bharat campaign launched at Arunodaya Special School run by Visteel Mahila Samiti under CSR project of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant evoked an encouraging response on Wednesday. RINL Director (Personnel) G. B. S. Prasad participated in the campaign by removing the debris on the premises of the school located in Ukkunagaram Township. Dr. Prasad emphasised the need for Swachh Bharat and its importance and suggested that the efforts for clean India be on a continual basis. He acknowledged the efforts put in by Vizag Steel Physically Challenged Employees Association (VSPCEA) for organising the programme in association with RINL/VSP Welfare Department. During the campaign, president of VSPCEA K.S.S. Chandra Rao said “the objective of this programme is to involve everybody in Swachh Bharat mission.” Visteel Mahila Samiti secretary Bindu Mahapatra said everyone should strive to bring back the greenery to VSP Township, for which it was well known, at the earliest. Earlier, a pledge to keep the environment clean and green was administered. General managers of VSP T. Sundar, R.V. Rao, R.P. Srivastava, PMMG Krishna, liaison officer of PWD cell B. Naik and AGM K. Sanjeeva Rao of Welfare Department along with school principal Rajeswari were present.
